Jennings Family Genealogy Forum

Rex; Thanks very much for this info. I have access to the DAR Library, here in DC, and I'm sure they would have a copy. I'm glad my line back to William Sr is in that book, although I'm now suspect of the link to Humphrey.
This is all the more reason we need to get matching Y-DNA from two of William JENNINGS' sons - this would confirm the line back to him and establish what his Y-DNA would be if we could test it. Then we'd be on the lookout for any other JENNINGS who came up with the same DNA. And maybe someday find some JENNINGS lines in the UK to test and find out where our line came from.
In the mean time, I have taken the new Family Finder DNA Test; have gotten 10 new cousins (in the past 3 months), and confirmed the ancestral lines from me back to the 10 common ancestors we have - which lines passed through 28 of my ancestral surnames. Alas none of them is JENNINGS, or DICKERSON, or BAGLEY, or PULLIAM yet. But if someone from any of those lines takes the FF test, we would be about 4th or 5th cousins, which is well with in the range that the FF test works. In such a case, we would have proved these lines back to the common ancestor.
Thanks again, Jim - I may be asking you for a few tidbits of info if I can't find the book.
