Simeon "Sim" Johnson and Delila Merritt were married in Franklin Co IN 24 Oct 1833. She appears to have been the daughter of Luther Merritt of Franklin & Decatur Cos IN and the sister of Robert Merritt of Decatur Co and of Obion Co TN.
Simeon's household is found in the census in Decatur Co IN 1850, Ripley Co IN 1860, Johnson Co IN 1870, and Decatur Co IN 1880. Delila, widow, is found in Obion Co TN 1900.

2. Milton C. Johnson. (1838-1929) Died Danville, Vermilion Co IL. [Had cousin named Milton Crawford Merritt; named son Phillip Crawford Johnson.] Appears to have been married three times, twice in Decatur Co IN: Margaret Winn 28 Oct 1857, Elizabeth Drake 26 May 1859. Married Martha J. White. One Milton Johnson applied for Civil War pension from Indiana, based on service in Co E, 39th Ind Inf, and as Quartermaster Sgt in Co E, 8th Ind Cav. Widow's name Martha J.. Milton and Martha are listed in the census in Newton Co MO 1880, Warren Co IN 1900, Fountain Co IN 1910, Vermilion Co IL 1920.

2c. Frank Johnson. According to the 1900 census, Frank was born in Nov 1882 in Indiana. One Frank Johnson of Covington, Fountain Co IN, and Danville IL interestingly had a son named Milton Crawford Johnson (see #2 Milton C. Johnson, above). That Frank is shown as having been born in Arkansas in 1884.

Emmerene's date and place of death not known. Census listings: Decatur Co IN 1880, Obion Co TN 1900, Pemiscot Co MO 1920 and 1930.
On the 1900 census Emmerene was shown as the mother of 7 children, 5 living. She was listed as born in Indiana, her father in Maine and her mother in Ohio.
