m. bef 1815 Elizabeth "Betsy" Knight (Geraldus/Geraldas Batts was abt 24 yr old when married)
Living: Edgecombe County, North Carolina
1820's moved to Limstone County, Alabama
Elizabeth "Betsy" (Knight) must of died & Geraldus m. Nancy. Unsure if married Nancy in Alabama or after he got to Kentucky?

*Geraldus/Geraldas Batts inherited a bunch of land when his father died.. still fuzzy on this.. (SEE BELOW Joseph BATT---could this be this Geraldu/Geraldas Batts father?) Geraldus was the son of Joseph BATT. He was under age in 1809 but was married to Betsy by 1815 when her father died. ELIZABETH (BETSY) KNIGHT WAS MARRIED TO GERALDUS BATTS before 1815. She was listed in her fathers will in 1815 as being Elizabeth Batts.
**Geraldus Batts married (2) to Nancy (JOHNSON) DUKE in 1844 in Carroll Co, TN. They had two daughters before he died in 1848/1949.
