Laura Alice Johnson Culbertson, 92, died early Thursday
morning, September 24, 2009, at Asbury Place, Kingsport,
Sullivan Co TN.
Born May 12, 1927, in Hawkins Co TN, she lived in
Kingsport most of her life. Until the decline of her
health, she was an active member of Litz Manor Baptist
Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Anderson
'Bob' Culbertson; and a daughter, Charlotte Culbertson.
She is survived by a son, R. Wayne Culbertson and wife
Carolyne Thomas Culbertson, Kingsport, TN; grandson,
Gregory Thomas Parnell, Atlanta, GA; and granddaughter,
Susannah Caroline Culbertson, Nashville, TN.
A graveside remembrance service for family and friends
will be conducted Sunday, September 27, 2009, at 3 p.m.,
with Douglas S. Tweed officiating at Oak Hill Memorial
Park.
Memorial contributions may be sent to the Alzheimer's
Association, 207 North Boone Street, Johnson City, TN
37604.
Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes is serving the Culbertson
family.
