Johnson Family in VA-1700s

There was a William Garrett (born about 1713) who maried an Elizabeth Ashton, and they lived (eventually) in Louisa Co., VA. They had a son named Henry Garrett who married a Mary Johnson, and daughters named Ann Garrett who married William Johnson and Susan Garrett who married Richard Johnson.

In addition to the above, there was a man named Clevears/Cluverius Duke who married an Elizabeth Barbour "Barbary" Johnson in Louisa Co., VA in 1778. Mr. Duke had previously married a Lucy Smith in Louisa County (in 1770), and shortly after that, it appears, a Richard Johnson married an Ann Smith in the home of Mr. Duke (but Richard Johnson and his wife Ann Smith then lived in Caroline Co., VA by 1773).

Does anyone know the lineage of the above Johnson family associated with Louisa Co., VA? Was the Richard Johnson who married Ann Smith (probably around 1772 or so) in the home of Mr. Duke a descendant of either William Johnson and Ann Garrett or Richard Johnson and Susan Garrett? Does anyone have any information on the above Lucy Smith and/or Ann Smith?

Does anyone know if the above Johnson family was related to the William Johnson/Johnston of Spotsylvania/Caroline Co., VA (born 1697-died 1778 in Caroline Co., VA; son of a Richard Johnson/Johnston) who married first Ann Chew and second Elizabeth Wyatt? This William Johnson/Johnston fathered a son named Richard Johnson/Johnston who married Dorothy Waller. At least one record that I have seen claimed that the Richard Johnson who married Dorothy Waller was the same man as the above-referenced Richard Johnson who married Ann Smith in Louisa County....but I don't know if that is just an assumption/guess, versus if someone has proof that it was the same man (but I note that the Richard Johnson who married Ann Smith in Louisa Co., VA then lived in Caroline Co., VA....so is that a "clue" or just a "coincidence")? The Richard Johnson who married Ann Smith in Louisa Co., VA fathered a daughter named Elizabeth "Betsy" Johnson, and she was baptized in Caroline Co., VA in 1774.

Note: If it WAS, in fact, the same Richard Johnson who married BOTH Dorothy Waller of Spotsylvania/Caroline Co., VA and Ann Smith of Louisa Co., VA, then that would certainly imply that there was a connection of some sort between the "Spotsylvania/Caroline Co., VA Johnsons/Johnstons" and the "Louisa Co., VA Johnsons." I note that Dorothy Waller died in 1770, so that "fits," at least, with her husband potentially marrying Ann Smith around 1771-1772.

Per one record that I saw, one of the descendants of William Johnson/Ann Chew married a Barbour...and note the middle name of the Elizabeth Barbour Johnson who married Mr. Duke in 1778 in Louisa County (so is that also a clue that there was some connection between the Johnsons in Louisa Co., VA and the Johnsons/Johnstons in Caroline/Spotsylvania Co., VA)?

Any/all comments on these Johnsons/Johnstons will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
