Lola M. Johnson, 86, Jonesborough, Washington Co TN, was
called to her heavenly home Friday, October 30, 2009, at
the Christian Care Center of Johnson City, Washington Co
TN, following a lengthy illness.
Ms. Johnson was a native of Washington County and daughter
of the late Tom and Mary Duncan Johnson.
She was a faithful member of Enon Baptist Church, where
she taught Sunday school as long as her heath permitted.
Ms. Johnson worked at Southern Pottery and retired from
Mayes Brothers.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Johnson was preceded in
death by one brother, Walter W. Johnson; and one sister,
Julia Vines.
Survivors include four sisters and brothers-in-law, twin
sister, Lois Johnson, of the home, Myrtle Louella Treadway
and J. W. Jones, Jonesborough, TN, Lorene Adkins, Jonesborough,
TN, and Annie and Gene Peterson, Erwin, TN; one brother
and sister-in-law, Tommy and Brenda Johnson, Jonesborough,
TN; one sister-in-law, June Johnson, Harriman, TN; and
several nephews and nieces.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m.,
Sunday, prior to the service.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m., Sunday,
November 1, 2009, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home Chapel
with Rev. Albert Bentley and Rev. Roy Jenkins officiating.
Pallbearers will be Monty Treadway, David Adkins, Eddie
Adkins, Tommy Johnson, Marty Johnson, and Brad Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Campbell, Logan Adkins,
Mike Fannon, Kenny Vines, David Stanton, Bobby Broyles,
and Jim Taylor.
Interment services will be conducted at 10 a.m., Monday,
November 2, 2009, at Seviers Cemetery.

1594 Hwy. 107, Jonesborough, TN 37659; or Seviers Cemetery,
c/o J.W. Jones, 960 Hwy. 107, Jonesborough, TN 37659.
