Thanks so much for that information. Yes, I too, believe that this is the same family.
Since writing that post, my husband and I went on holidays to Palmerston and Mitchell, and the Stratford & Wellington County Archives and have discovered that Loyal Dent's mother, Mary Ann (Murray) Dent died in 1929 in Montreal, which is where George Johnston and Loyal Dent were living. They do appear to move around alot. I have been unable to find a death registration on ancestry.ca in either Ontario or Quebec. We did visit and photograph the stone in Palmerston tho.
As for the Johnston's we have no pictures, as a matter of fact, my mother-in-law did not know that her grandfather, Chester Dent had a sister.
I didn't have the last names for Robert's wife, May Ann Johnson or John Johnston's wife, Mary Ann Rogers.
I would be pleased to receive any additional info and I can send you what I have and we can fill in some blanks.
