Lonnie Ray Johnston Sr.,83, of Orange Grove died Thursday, May 12, 2005.
Mr. Johnston was born on April 13, 1922, in Bransdahl, Okla. He was a retired oilfield derrick man.
Survivors include three daughters, Mary (Juan) Olivo of San Diego, Christine (Michael) Olive of Beeville and Lavenia Wills of Orange Grove; four sons, Lonnie (Betty) Johnston of Flour Bluff, Horace (Elaine) Johnston of Alice, Maco (Wesseleen) Johnston of Orange Grove and Albert (Emily) Johnston of Odem; a sister, Betty Nelson of Beeville; two brothers, Warren Johnston of Comanche, Okla., and Fred Johnston of Bakersfield, Calif.; 26 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was to be held Friday from 4 to 9 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 9 p.m. at Holmgreen Mortuary in Alice. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Monday at the same location. Burial will follow in the Alice Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled through Holmgreen Mortuary Inc., Alice.
