Purely Personal.
THURSDAY.
A. D. GREER went to St. Louis to take a course in medicine and surgery. He
will study in the homeopathic school.
John FRY and wife, of Letta, Iowa, son-in-law and daughter of Mrs. RHODES who
came in a week ago on account of Mrs. RHODES sickness, returned to their home.
Noah RIGGS closed his short visit and returned to Indianola.
John DAILEY came in from the Omaha Exposition.
Lawyer BROOKS returned to Leon.
FRIDAY.
W. T. HOUGAS returned from Chicago.
Wm. SPURRIER, daughter Gertie, and Miss HATCHER returned from Omaha.
Miss HAWKINS went to Greenleaf, Kansas.
Mrs. Wm. HOUGAS and children went to Mission, Illinois to visit. Minnie
HAYER accompanied them on her return home.
O. MADISON came home from St. Joseph having been taken ill while working
there.
Bird COOK went to Davis City.
W. H. KELLEY left for Gallen, Michigan, to attend Conference. Thence he will
go to Pittsburg, Pennsylvania.
Mrs. Adelia PILE went to Grant City to visit relatives and friends.
Mr. and Mrs. CRECELIUS and family came in from Amity, Missouri, to make
Lamoni their home.
SATURDAY.
Dr. MOORE, Ada HOPKINS and Mrs. J. F. HOPKINS, drove to Corning, Iowa, and
would go thence to Omaha Exposition.
Bishop G. H. HILLIARD came up from Independence, Missouri.
Mrs. C. F. SMITH returned from Kellerton.
C. E. BLAIR went to Council Bluffs, Iowa, to attend a gathering of the I. O.
O. F. and would go from there to Omaha, then on to Little Sioux, Iowa.
James ALLEN returned from his visit to Des Moines, Coalville, and other Iowa
points.
T. Z. STARK was in town from Indianola, Iowa.
Cloe HAWLEY came in from Defiance, Iowa, to attend college.
Asa COCHRAN paid Lamoni a flying visit between trains.
Sarah SLOAN went to Davis City.
SUNDAY.
Alma MCCALLUM returned to his regiment near Independence, Missouri, from
which he expects to be mustered out soon.
Reuben ELVIN departed for Millersburg, Illinois, on an errand the character
of which few people know, and yet most people feel sure they do know.
MONDAY.
E. B. GAYLORD went to Leon. Thence he would go to Pleasanton, then
Shenandoah, and on to Arkansas whither he takes parties from above named places to see
the country.
Manda and Fred ROBINSON started for Sulpher Springs, Colorado, to remain
sometime.
Richard KELLEY returned from Omaha.
Mrs. KIRKMAN returned home from Humeston.
Elder R. M. ELVIN went to Millersburg, Illinois.
Mrs. Thomas FRANCE returned from Kewanee, Illinois.
Alma ELLISON returned from his trip to Omaha and Woodbine, Iowa.
Joseph LAFRAUNCE returned to his work at Pleasanton.
Mr. EDMONSON returned to his home in Louisa County.
TUESDAY.
Mrs. NEWCOMB returned from her visit to Corning.
Lawyer HUFFMAN was in town.
Mrs. Arthur JUDSON went to Harrington, Kansas to visit her daughter.
Mr. and Mrs. W. H. DEAM left for Chicago, where they will for the present
reside.
