Hi,
This is my first time to post at this site but I'm beginning a project that I thought I would mention, in case anyone is interesting. As some of you may know, technically is now such the you can do DNA testing to help in genealogy. The value of Family Tree DNA testing is their ability to help find "Genetic Cousins ™" by comparing the results of as few as two people. This is done through the "male" line of the family only. I have decided to begin a project covering the various spellngs and version the the name Kastner. Although I know the proper pronounciation of the name Kaestner is not Kastner, I also know that over the years in America it is sometimes changed. I would like to include the spelling of Kaestner along with Kastner, Castner, Casner, Kasner, Cosner and Costner. I'm sure there are more also.
I wanted to offer the ability for anyone with this name to be a part of the project if they choose. I will be putting up a web site within the next couple of weeks that will keep track of results and answer general questions. If anyone is interested in this, please contact me at cosner@kastner.net.
I laos know that some people don't believe in this and they are entitle to their opinion. It isn't for everyone, but can help break down those brick walls. BTW, I'm also trying to include anyone in Germany who may also want to participate.
