I may have the John Kaestner you are looking for of Burlington, IA. I Will begin at the bebinning with what I Know: Henry Kaestner Sr. born Ger. abt abt. 1825. Belived to have lived in Wettenburg, Prussia. This spelling of Wettenburg came from church records. Have been unable to find a location with that exact spelling. Came to USA abt. 1869. Lived in Burlington,IA with his wife Dorothea Otto, born 3/11/1826 in Ger. whom he apparantly married in Ger. (Fm: (1. Fm micro film archives at RLDS Temple; B160. Independence. MO.) It appears that he had three (3) children, all born in Ger.Henry Jr. dob 1/17/1845, Wettenburg, Prussia, Wilhelmina, nfi, and Friedricke, dob 12/17/1848, Oebisfelde, Prussia, Ger. Henry Jr and Friedricke were baptized into the RLDS Church, German Branch, Burlington IA., abt 1872. Henry Jr. Married August Mueller, dob 4/18/1850, Brome Ger.
Their children were:
Henry III, dob 18/29/1872, Burlington, IA.
Joseph dob 2/18/1875
Frank B. dob 12/29/1877, Burlington, IA (My grandfather.)
Charles dob 1/10/1879, Burlington, IA.
William P. dob 12/2/1881, Burlington, IA.
Emmas Laura dob 10/4/1885. Burlington, IA.
John dob 2/4/1888, Burlington, IA.
John Married Gertrude Johnson 10/16/1916
They had three children:
Clyde, 8/9/1918; Albert, 12/12/1921; and,
John Jr. 5/25/1919.
