Some of my Kaiser family relatives came from Apolda, Germany in 1886. They arrived in Philadelphia. Minna ((Finke)) Kaiser came with her two children: Martha Louisa (age 12, born in 1874) and Max Kaiser (born about 1875). Max died in Philadelphia in 1901, 26 years old. His death certificate indicates that he was married, though any details of that have been lost. Martha married another German immigrant (Carl Christian Haussmann) and that is my direct family line. We have no information about Minna's husband; we believe he had died in Germany prior to them emigrating. There are a number of Kaisers living in Apolda today. We hope someone has details on Kaiser family trees in Apolda.
