Been looking for a history of the Kayser family. My grandfather was Henry Kayser of Orland Ca. Died 1968.He had a brother named Fred Kayser of same town, but who is also now deceased. My grandfather was married to Amelia Brunemeier (Brunmeier).
Several questions...what nationality (other than German) is the surname Kayser? I was told it was German-Jew. My grandmother gave me an oral history one time, and it involved the family emmigrating to Odessa during Catherine the Great's time under persecution, then to the U.S.
Can anyone give me a direction?
