Hi Susan. Thanks for your reply. I tried sending you a follow-up message but ran into difficulty and had to sort that out with Genforum. Hopefully this works. My research is as follows: Lyle was adopted on 1922 by Joseph Remi Plamondon @ "Ellen", I believe an Ellen Sherman. They lived in WA. and later moved to CA. The marriage broke up and later Ellen was committed to a State Institution where she died. Lyle was placed in the Healdsburg, Sonoma County Salvation Army Home @ Farm institution.(On 1930 Census). In 1952 Lyle contacted a George Francis Plamondon, my husband ancestor and brother of Joseph (Lyle's adoptive father),via a letter mailed from Roseville, CA. He was looking for his birthparents, whose name he said were "Charles and Winifred BURFRECH Kayton". He also mentioned having been adopted by Joseph and Ellen Plamondon in 1922. At that time he was 6 years old.He signed his name Lyle D. Plamondon. I have researched the name Furfrech and it is FERBRACHE. Lyle died 20 Aug 1982 in Texas while married to Lena Shields and I guess he never knew about his birth parents. I'm still researching more about Charles as my research indicates his last name as Daugherty and Winnifred colul have married to a William Martin "Cayton". Also I now have your sister Shirley's birthday as 20 June 1956. If you have any further info about Lyle, please let me know. Maybe when and in what city where Lyle was found by the Salvation Army. I don't believe he was an orphan. I hope you sort this all out and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this reply will be send. Regards Elizabeth. My email is <eclarke9@telus.net>
