JOHN H. KEGEBEIN was a pallbearer at my gg grandmother's funeral 4 December 1920. Her name was Ann Cordelia Jackson (Hurst). I would like to know if and how they were related. I have an obit. for his son: Obit for John F. Kegebein Sr. Norfolk Virginian, Wednesday, February 4, 1953 / Thursday, February 5, 1953 / Friday, February 6, 1953 Age 58, in the 59th year of his age, son of the late JOHN H. and Mrs. ALMEDIA FISKE KEGEBEIN, died Tuesday, February 3, 1953 at 10:40 am at a Norfolk hospital. He was a lifelong resident of Norfolk, resided at 517 Rhode Island Avenue. He was employed at the Naval Supply Center, NOB. He was a member of Ruth Lodge 89, A.F. & A.M., Norfolk United Royal Arch Chapter 1, Grice Commandry 16, Knights Templar, Khedive Temple, A.A.O.N.M.S., and Norfolk Lodge 38, B.P.O. Elks. Surviving him are 1 son, JOHN F. KEGEBEIN Junior; 2 sisters, Mrs. GRACE T. MARTIN and Miss LILLIAN M. KEGEBEIN; a brother, CHARLES FREDERICK KEGEBEIN; a grandson, JOHN F. KEGEBEIN III and a niece, Mrs. RICHARD CLAUSSENIUS. The body was removed to the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts, pending arrangements. Funeral services will be conducted at the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts Thursday, February 5, 1953 at 3:00 pm by the Rev HENRY A. HARRELL, pastor of First Methodist Church. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Pallbearers: H.S. HUNTER, HUGH D. KOONTZ Junior, R.E. NORMAN, WEBSTER W. TRIPPLE, WALTER COPPRIDGE, J. BINFORD SADLER and JOHN R. PATTERSON. A delegation from Ruth Lodge No 89, A.F. & A.M., conducted ritual services at the grave. Ann's Obit: December 4, 1920 Funerals Mrs. Anne Cordelia Hurst. The funeral of Mrs. Anne Cordelia Hurst, widow of Edward Hurst, took place at the funeral apartments of H. D. Oliver yesterday afternoon and was largely attended, with Rev. R. J. Dogan, of the Spurgeon Memorial Baptist Church, officiating. There were many floral offerings and burial was in Cedar Grove Cemetery. The pallbearers being Charles Jackson, W.L. Jackson*, Charles Jordon, John Milan, J.H. Kegebein and Edward Powell.
