I am the great great great grandson of George Kelman, a Scot born at the end of the 18th Century, who married Nancy Taylor on 17 July 1819 in Boharm, Banffshire. I have information which I would be willing to pass on about his descendants, who include the following:
George and Nancy's children:
William Kelman b.1819, Boharm
George Kelman b.1821, Keith
Mary Kelman b.1823, Keith
James Kelman b.1825 Keith
Jean Kelman b.1828, Keith
John Kelman b.1830, Keith
Charles Kelman b.26.4.1834, Keith
Agnes Kelman b.9.12.1837, Keith
From the above list, Charles was my great great grandfather. He married Marion Ness of Aberdeen on 18.9.1862 and the couple produced:
Catherine Ann Kelman b.27.12.1863, Old Machar, Aberdeen
Agnes Kelman b.30.12.1865, Keith
Charles Kelman b.7.11.1868, Keith
Marion Kelman 17.9.1864, Keith
My interest is principally in Catherine Ann, my great grandmother, about whom I have a fair amount of biographical information. She married Walter Frederick Topping on 23 July 1885 (?) in Notting Hill, London, and became the mother of 3 children, but of course the Kelman name was not passed on to them.
