I am starting a search for my ancestor's on my paternal Grandfather's side. His name was Thomas E. Kenney (Jr)? This is what I have so far:
Thomas E. Kenney
Possibly born in the Bronx, New York; Died in St. Louis, Mo
DOB: 10/7/1919
DOD: 2/10/1998
SS#: 049-03-6927 issued in Connecticut
Father: Thomas Kenney
Mother: Grace (Martin) Kenney
Sister: Jane (Kenney) Dieffenbach
Employment: St. Louis Zoo
Buried: Jefferson Barracks in St. Louis, Mo
Married: Doris Meihofer (they met while he was in the Army)
Children: Douglas E. Kenney & Richard Kenney
***He always said that we were decendents of the "Black Douglas's" of Scottland**
His Father's Information:
Thomas Kenney -was from Connecticut
Employed: Edison Co. in New York
Married: Grace Martin
**Thomas died while my grandfather (the other Thomas) was still young.
His mother's information:
Grace (Martin) Kenney was likely from Connecticut
Possibly from Thomaston, Connecticut
Married: Thomas Kenney
**She remarried a man my father referred to as Grandpa Sid. I don't know if Sid was a first or last name, or if that is the correct spelling.
His Sister:
Jane married a man with the last name of Diefenbach (possibly spelled Dieffenbach). From what I understand she lived in New York. There is a possibility (If I found the right Jane's SS# death records) that she lived in Hartford, Ct & died there in 1998.
I'm struggling with verified information on my grandfather's parents: Thomas and Grace.
