I have not posted my family on this site before, hope someone may recognise them! I am researching William and Marcella (nee Lynch) Kenny and their family. William was a coroner in Ballinasloe from at least 1824 until the early 1840's. They had at least eight children, as follows; Maria bn: ? Patrick bn: c1821, William bn: 1823, Elizabeth bn: 1824, William Thos. bn: 1827, James M. bn: 1829, Edward bn: 1832 and Bridget bn: ?. I do not know when William Snr. died, but Marcella died at a relatively young age. In June 1850, Edward placed an advert. in the "Boston Pilot" looking for his siblings - Maria, who was thought to be in Philadelphia, James in Baltimore and Bridget was a nun (Sister of Charity) also in Baltimore. I do not know when they left Ireland, but obviously prior to 1850. Edward was living in Salem, Mass. In the mid 1850's, James and William Thos., emigrated to Australia. Patrick, my g/g grandfather had arrived in Australia from Ireland in 1842. Edward and Maria (married name unknown) remained in the U.S. Patrick, James and William Thos., all remained in Australia. Hoping to track down the American branch of the family! Notify Administrator about this message?
