Kenny, Lester L. 77, formerly of Brighton Park in Chicago, beloved husband of the late Jean (nee Cikowski), loving father of Sharon (Xavier) Soto of Peotone, and Kathleen (Mitchell) Bandur of Wilmington, cherished grandfather of Jennifer (Justin) Coners, Janet (Michael) Woods, Holly Bandur and Michael Bandur III, dearest great-grandfather of Kyle and Kayla Coners, devoted brother of Eugene (Jeanette) Kenny of Burbank, dear Uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Gladys (nee Schafer) Kenny, his step-mother Anna Kenny, and a son, Thomas Kenny. He was a retired mechanic with Local 701, and a U,S. Army Korean Conflict Veteran. Visitation Tuesday, 3:00 to 8:00 p.m., from the Fedde-Helfrich Chapel, 112 W. Main St., Peotone, IL. Funeral Mass Wednesday, 10:00 a.m., from St. Paul the Apostle Catholic church, Peotone, IL, with prayers 9:30 a.m. at the funeral prior to mass. Interment St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Evergreen Park. For info call 708-258-6737.
