I'll see what I can find in my stack of stuff. I haven't spent much time on the Kerlin line so it'll be on the lower end of the pile. I can tell you I worked with Jim Getz (a cousin of mine) when he was compiling the Getz history and we had independently done research on the Kerlin line and come up with the same info.
All I can add for you is my "vote" which isn't going to be any more credible than probably some other researchers. My best guess had the father of John as Metgen, with the Peter being a brother to John. Again, back when I was researching this associated line for the Getz family I had a lot more info that led me to that pick. I'll see what I can find for you.
