For many years I've been looking for my grandfather Samuel J. Kernaghan, born in Ireland in 1860-1861. Don't know where. He supposedly came to the U.S. and was naturalized. The U.S. 1900 census says he emigrated in 1885. An insurance application says he had five brothers living, and three sisters.
The earliest record I have is in 1887 when he was married here in Missouri.
Should you have any clues, I'd be most delighted.
