Hi Kevin, Did you manage to obtain any further information on the Kernaghans of Cavan ??? I went through Cavan on my travels and made a few enquiries but the Genealogy unit in Cavan was to expensive for my taste, they wanted 20 Euros, about 30 Australian dollars, for each and every enquiry I made. However, when I went to the local reference library I managed to obtain a print-out of the Census for Ireland in 1901. It shows that William Kernaghan, widowed, aged 79, a Farmer, was living with his son Peter, married, aged 32, a Farmer, Peter's wife Maggie, aged 30, granddaughter, Mary Anne, aged 1 and grandson William, aged 2 months. It shows that the adults could read and write and that they were Roman Catholics. Hope this information is of use to you, sorry I could not go any further. Regards, Terry Notify Administrator about this message?
