I was able to attend the Kernaghan/Kernahan/Kernohan Family Gathering that was held in Newry May 28, 29 and 30. To those who were able to attend, I hope you enjoyed all of the events as much as I did. I spent a week exploring Newry, and meeting some of most generous, and friendliest people! Adam Kernaghan was a very gracious host during all of the events: the Friday night party in his home; he has a wonderful view of Newry, and it was spectacular at night; the civic reception held by the Mayor of Newry, the walking tour, the tour of the museum, and the Saturday night square dance. What fun! I was exhausted from walking, dancing, laughing, and shopping. I got to see where my great grandmother was married, and where my ancestors were buried; Newry has the most beautiful churches.
If you were at the Gathering, please keep in touch. If you were unable to make it, you really missed a great time; hopefully, there will be another Gathering in a few years, maybe in the US.
