Thank you for confirming my presumption for your father and grandfather.
I have been searching through all my records to try and find a family to match your criteria. Due to Samuel, as the youngest in the family, born in 1860, and the Civil Registers in Ireland not beginning until 1864, I have to rely on what church records I have.
With the eldest at 50 years in 1893, that then means that the marriage would have been about 1840-1843. Even the Catholic Marriage Records did not begin until 1846 so it makes it additionally difficult to find the family.
Unfortunately, at that period, even church baptism records are sparse as they only record the sex of the child and the name of the father, the mother is ignored. So, for example in the baptismal list, the record would read,Charles Edward - son of Samuel followed by the date.
I have also been through my immigration records but I can find no site that gives records from 1851 to 1891. Ellis Island was not opened until 1892 and previous to that date immigrants arrived in Philadephia or St.Johns in Canada and travelled down to their destinations in the U.S.. So Samuel falls into another hole in the records if he arrived in 1885.
If you send me your e.mail address, I will send your what details I have. I do not wish to send it via this database.
