Hi Mary,
Thanks for your genealogy although I tend to stick to the Kernaghans otherwise I don't know where I will end up.
I am going over to Belfast in mid April to try and find some more information about my great grandfather John Kernaghan. The trouble is that I have two John K's, both were whipmakers, one married in 1869 to a woman called Amelia and said he was 21 years old and the one I know was my great grandfather I found in the 1881 census gave his age as 41 [born in Newry,Ireland]with his 'wife' Louisa, so there is an age gap of 8 years. I don't know whether they are two men or one. I have to go over to Newry to try and sort it all out.
I tried to get some information via the Gedcom, [see the early messages]but have had no luck so far.
Do you know what happened to Charles Irwin ??
Any information would be appreciated.
Regards,
Terry
