Hi, Keith,

I am trying to prove that my husband is a descendant of Dirck Keyser of Germantown PA. My husband's Kiser family was Mennonite like the Dirck Keyser family and both families intermarried with the Funk family, which was a fairly prominant Mennonite family

My husband recently joined the Kaiser/Keyser/Kiser etc DNA project at Family Tree DNA (FTDNA) and got his DNA tested. I wonder if you would be interested in also joining the project and getting your DNA tested. It would be very interesting to see if your DNA matches my husband's DNA.

The DNA test is painless and only involves swabbing the inside of your cheek with a special scraper in the privacy of your own home. The lab mails a kit to the participant and then the participant mails his samples back to the lab. The kit is assigned a number and the name of the participant is never published, thereby assuring privacy and confidentiality. Here is a link to the page at the Kaiser DNA website where you can order the kit: http://www.familytreedna.com/surname_join.asp?code=X21121&special=True&projecttype=S

I truly hope that you will consider joining the project.

Sincerely,
Nancy Kiser
