MICHAEL KILKENNY -UPDATE

Michael Kilkenny {32}m. Catherine Murray{21} on 26th Feb 1854 at the Catholic Chapel, West Road, Congleton, in the counties of Chester and Stafford. Michael was a laborer and resided at Brookside, Congleton. His fathers' name was John Kilkenny and he was also a labourer. Catherine Murray was a silk worker and she resided at Mill St., Congleton.
Her father was John Murray, a laborer. Their witnesses were-Thomas Carney and Catherine Calligan.
One of their children, Ann was born 25th April 1855 Twemlow St, Congleton. Her father was listed then as an agricultural labourer. I believe siblings of Ann{Annie} to be Margaret, Catherine, Lavinia{Winifred?} John and Thomas, but have yet to be verified. Michael died 17th April 1874 at Wellington St, Burslem. His daughter Annie married Daniel Reeves the following year from the same address. Hope this rings a bell with someone who can clarify what part of Ireland my Kilkennys came from.
