Hello John:

Thanks for having such complete and terse info.

I research the Irish Family History Foundation's database. It contains 12,800,000 surviving rcds for abt 70% of Irish counties. Rcds are increasingly sparse B4 1840, rare B4 1800. Cos. Donegal and Derry were recently added to the database.

Note 1 - Without a KNOWN county, the chance of an ancestor's rcds NOT being in this database is AT LEAST 30%.

Note 2 - Only 1/2 of Co. Cork's rcds are in this database.

Note 3 - The RC church kept control over most parish rcds from Tipperary (north). These are ONLY available thru the Tipperary Family History Research center at a substantial fee (regardless of outcome).

For Mary Kilkenny B 1902 (exact), Co. Leitrim, with a father forenamed John, I found 1 rcd, Mohill civil district.

For John Kilkenny M 1898 +/- 4 yrs, Co. Leitrim, I found 2 rcds: 1894 Aughavas RC parish and 1899 Rowan civil district. A view of the detailed rcds should show both the bride's and parents' names. Use this info to identify and validate earlier B/M rcds.

For Ann Greenan M ditto, I found NO rcds.

For Ann Greenan B 1874 +/- 1 yrs, somewhere in Ireland, with the father's forename unknown, I found 6 rcds: 1873 Cavan, 1873 Roscommon, 2-1874 Roscommon, 1874 Antrim, and 1875 Antrim. Father's forenames were John, Peter, Pat(rick), Pat(rick), John, and Pat(rick) respectively

For John Kilkenny B 1872 +/- 4 yrs, Co. Leitrim, with a father forenamed Anthony, I found 2 rcds, 1-church (Aughavas RC), 1 civil (Mohill).

For Ant(hony) Kilkenny M 1857 +/- 4 yrs, somewhere in Ireland, with the father's forename unknown, I found NO rcds. Note - this date range is before mandatory civil registration. Rcds before 1864 are (almost) limited only to the churches and are imperfect at best.

For Ann Charles M ditto, I found 1 church rcd in 1857, Co. Antrim for an "Ann Jane Charley," and an
"Ann Charles" in 1859, also Antrim. It is very unusual, but not unheard of, for the IFHF to have transcribed one party to a marriage, but not the other.

For Anthony Kilkenny B 1836 +/- 4 yrs, somewhere in Ireland, with the father's forename unknown, I found 0 rcds.

For Ann Charles B 1840 +/- 4 yrs, ditto, I found 6 rcds: 1836 Westmeath, 1836 Meath, 1838 Galway, 1839 Leitrim, 1841 Kildare, and 1841 Galway. For the Leitrim rcd, the parish is Cloone RC. The father's forename was Pat(rick).

Will leave it to you to search for the siblings at each generation.

Google the Foundation's name to lead you to this database. Register, opt to be notified as rcds are added and browse. Pls post your search results to my genforum msg.

Hope this helps. Good luck.
