I am looking for information regarding my half brother.
Here is what I know:
this man was born 3 April 1939
place: Randolph Hospital, Asheboro, NC
Mother: Martha Marie Heathcock
Father: Russell Garland Trogdon
Grandparents: Onie Ethel Kinney Heathcock and Jasper Samuel Heathcock; Carl D. Trogdon and Ada Kinney Trogdon
This child's maternal grandmother Onie Kinney Heathcock died in October 1938 a couple of months before he was born. I have a feeling that this child was taken away from his mother due to her being only 16 years old and her marriage to the Trogdon man was violent. his mother later remarried a Tate from Richmond, VA, and later a Hegwood from alexandria, VA. His mother died of cirrhosis of the liver in NJ and was buried at Spoons Chapel Church in Asheboro, NC.
I think this child may have been raised as a Kinney as the Kinney family in Randolph County, NC, was very large. If anyone has any info that can lead to me finding thie man, please email me at the address above.
