I found this on Geneaology.com and edited out most of to avoid copyright infringement. David Knapp was known to be a loyalist and had a child named Aquila as well as two daughters Anna and Priscilla. I don't know if this fits or helps you at all. Stephen Sands does appear on muster reports for Col Shank's regiment but appears to have been taken as a POW early on.

I'm descended (possibly) from Daniel Knapp's son John.
