Truly at a dead end here. Seeking info on my ancestor James Knapp supposedly born in the 1780's and supposedly died in 1828 in Parma, Monroe, NY. Parentage unknown but found a James Knapp born 1 Apr 1781 in Brattleboro, Vt son of James and Molly Redfield Knapp who "removed to New York State". My James married c1814 to Salome LaMunyon (LaMunion)who was born 12 May 1791 in Tiverton, RI and died 26 Jan 1867 in Onondaga Co., NY. They had 7 children: Lydia Jane (1816-1910) who married first to John Tucker and lived in Madison Co., NY, Thomas P. (1819-1900) who married Hannah Squire(s) and lived in Apulia, NY, Lucy (1822-1875) who married Jacob Tucker and lived in Madison Co., NY, Reuben (1825-1898) who married Juliaette ? and moved to Waterloo, WI and later Mitchell, IA, Alzina or Alzira (c1825-?) who may be the Alzira Knapp who married Urbin Ladd, James H. (1828-c1895) who married Chloe Goodrich and moved to Waterloo, WI and later Mason City, IA and Jane born c1831 and married a Wilcox. Anything ring a bell for anyone?
