Knight family in Wake County, North Carolina 1780-90's. Sarah Knight b. abt. 1768 Wake County, d. Nov. 1849 Yancey county, NC. Married to Nathan Deaton, b. 1765 Wake county NC, d. 1834 Yancey Co. NC. He was son of William Deaton, AKA Capt. William Deaton and Sarah Jackson, who lived in Chatham Co. NC. He was a Tory and died fighting in battle of Cane Creek.
