Your suggestion is well taken and that is what I have tried to do when information is available. I do have some old deeds and wills and other records pertaining to the folks I'm studying in NC but so far I just haven't been able to tie Valentine Crots, (Sr) to parents or a birthplace. But I keep hoping! I would really like to see some YDNA comparisons of the Crotts of Cleveland Co., NC with the descendants of the Crotts/Kratz line of Rowan-Davidson Co., NC and the Kratzes of PA.
