I am looking for information on August KRAUSE born about 1856 in West Prussia. He married August Eltes? born about 1856.
They had several children in Saaben, West Prussia (now Zabno, Poland)
I only know of
Frederick William born August 8, 1895
August born about 1890?
Herta/Hertha born about 1899.
August Sr. died in Saaben at age 49 after 1899 and before 1909. He was a furrier and justice of the peace there.
Frederick and August, Jr. came to Buffalo, NY in 1909. Auguste/Augusta (his widow) brought Hertha to Buffalo in 1910.
Augusta left children still living in Saaben or the area and wrote to them. None of the letters survived.
I know that my husband has great uncles and aunts still living there but have no idea where.
