Hi,

My great-great-great grand father must have been a Karl August Krause. They were also from Prussia. My Geat great grandfather was Augustus Carl, his son was Eduard Hermann and his son, my grandfather was again August Carl.

Augustus Carl came to South AFrica as a soldier (soldier in the British Foreign Legion during the Crimean war), but I am running into a dead end and cannot trace him back any further. Maybe your Karl is my ......grandfather and possible photos of Augustus.

DO you perhaps have any info that might assist me.

Regards

Yolanda
