Krauss / Zerr / Pudel / Melzer

These are my great great grandparents surnames.

Rosalie Melzer m. Karl Pudel. They had seven daughters: Rosalie (b. 1881 d. 1947), Caroline, Juliana, Emilia, Hildegard, Alvina & (?). Some of these girls came to Canada, some went to South America & some stayed in Europe.

Wilhelm Johann Krauss (b. 1878 d. 1942). Wilhelm's parents names are unknown, other than his mother's maiden name was Zerr. Wilhelm had three siblings (names unknown), 2 sisters & 1 brother.

Wilhelm m. Rosalie Pudel. They were married in 1901 in the Wolenskoy (sp?) area. This town/city was located at one time or another in one of the following countries: Russia, Prussia, Poland, Germany (depending on border changes). Wilhelm & Rosalie had two daughters who died in infancy. They moved to Canada prior to 1915, then had two more children: Richard (b. 1915 d. 2003) and Elsie (b. 1919).

I am trying to find out where Wolenskoy is/was. I am also looking for any relations to any of these people. There are many variations to the spelling of Melzer (Meltzer, Melser, etc) & Krauss (Kraus, Krauss, Krause, etc.)

If this info matches with a branch of your family, please reply to this posting.

Thanks in advance.
