I could never find Fredrick in a census - probably because of "Krauss". Could it be that someone wrote it down wrong or that he changed the name at some point? I don't know. I have vital records for Alvin (my great-grandfather) and the name is Kruse and his father's name is listed as Frederick - from Concordia, MO. A 1930 census from Oklahoma lists Alvin's father and mother from Germany.

Would you mind e-mailing that census record to me?
