I am researching surname Hessel who lived in Hall County, Grand Island Nebraska area. There are two marriages from the family to KRUSE family living in early Nebraska. Can anyone out there help me identify what Kruse family these two women came from? They may (or may not) be sisters.
Bernhardine Bertha Kruse b. 5 June 1901 married 4 May 1921 Fred (Frederick) William Hessel born 24 Mar 1898 NE. He was the son of John Adam Hessel born 13 Sept 1855 Prussia and was named for John Adam Hessels brother (also Frederick William Hessel). Grandfather was Augustus Hessel and Anna Margaret Simon living in Hall County, NE.
Frieda Dora Kruse b. 25 Dec 1906 d. 7 Aug 1987 married 20 Nov 1927 Albert Adam Henry Hessel b. 9 Oct 1901 NE d. 27 Sept 1985. Buried Grand Island City Cemetery, Hall Co. NE along with many Hessel family members.
There was yet another Kruse/Hessel marriage in this family. Ella C. Hessel, believed to be the daughter of Albert Adam Henry Hessel also married an (unknown) Kruse (Hall County, Nebraska).
Need your help to make sense of all this--I've hit some dead ends. thank you!
