As I view the Message Board I realize very quickly that many of the people are from Slovakia & Hungary. My father's last name is Kuruc and he was born in Yugoslavia in the mid fifties. His entire family was of Yugoslavian descent, however I have always been told that originally we can from Hungary and that the surname is quite common there.
Is this true? Does anyone know anything about the Hungarian or Yugoslavian history of the Kuruc name? I know very little and am fascinated with what I read online.
