Please--I could use some help on this one
This man was descibed as Hardshell Baptist preacher.
From what i have read he was from Virgina, lived in Ala. Kentucky and eventually ended in Velasco, Texas, was living with son in law, in Velasco Hotel. i beleive that this son in law was jeremiah brown or at least brown was the last name. He may have been the Spraggins that was married to Nancy Bumpass and had several children, if was the name would have been " thomas Spraggins "
Velasco is in Brazoria co, tx.
I would like to find more about the old velasco hotel, daddy spraggins and just exactly who this brown was that was over the hotel, these people are connected to my family in some way, Thomas Spraggins daughter ( Rebecca )
was married to Jeremiah Brown, she must have been second wife as she states in her memoriors that she has step-daughter, what that daughters names was i do not know
she married jeremiah Brown 10 May, 1833in Brazoria Co, Tx
