Ryan Michael Laabs, age 24 of Jackson, MN, formerly of rural LeSueur died in an automobile accident on Hwy 60 near Butterfield, on October 7th, 2007. Ryan was born on May 30th, 1983 in New Prague to Richard and Patricia (Klehr) Laabs. He graduated from LeSueur High School. He also attended Minnesota West Technical College in Jackson, MN. He was working for the H & D Underground Company in Jackson, MN.
He is survived by his parents, Dick and Pat Laabs of rural LeSueur, MN; 1 brother, Jerry Laabs of LeSueur, MN; 3 sisters, Amy (Steve) Ruechel of New Hope, MN; Sandy (Steve) Hoekman of Slayton, MN; Jessica Laabs of Eden Prairie, MN; 2 nieces, Megan and Miranda Hoekman; 1 nephew, Nathan Hoekman; Grandparents, Dick and Mary Klehr of Belle Plaine, MN; Alverna Laabs of Belle Plaine, MN; Great Grandmother, Agnes Klehr of Belle Plaine, MN.
Funeral services were 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 11, 2007 at St. John Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine. Pastors Mark Johnon and Mark Lepper officiated. Interment in the Oakwood Cemetery in Belle Plaine, MN.
