Hi Diane--My grandmother Amanda LAACK LINDAU's grandfather Henry LAACK was born in Prussia in January 1847. I haven't yet found out what part of Prussia, though. Have you seen Henry in any of your research? Henry and his wife Christine came to the US sometime before 1869, as their oldest son, Gustav (Amanda's father) was born in Wisconsin in June 1869.
I would like to talk with you further and compare notes.
