Your spelling, "Labady", caught my eye. I can't be sure that he is any relation to you directly, but there is a Medard Labady buried in the oldest cemetery in Monroe Michigan. He was a war hero in the war of 1812. He served during the siege of Fort Meigs, and he helped carry (along with his future brother in law, a mister Knaggs) the wounded officer who killed Tecumseh from the field of battle in another battle in Canada. He was a grandson of Pierre. There is a grave marker there describing his participation in these events. The Labadie name has many variations with spellings Labady often coming from the inability of record keepers of the time to spell properly. They often spelled a name how it sounded or was even mispronounced. With respect, TANKAR
