Going way out on a limb here with a guess on a possible Irwin tidbit.
The Irwin family was an early family to settle western Lucas County, Ohio. Today there is a preserve called Irwin Prarie off Bancroft Street in western Lucas County.
I don't know if they are in your line, but the family was only one county away from the Labady family over the state line in Monroe County Michigan.
