Hi everyone! Received this email last night after I posted this message and thought I better share it with you. Richard Labadie wrote it down that his Grandmother was Mannon, and that his grandfather was not only good friends but business partners with Pontiac, which is how he got so so rich to buy two mills. Back in the late 1880's and early 1900's it was not in to be part Indian, so I think Richard and his daughter Harriet were telling the truth. My mom lived adjacent to Harriet Labadie. Hope this info helps, Chris Carpenter Richard is the son of Peter Descomps dit Labadie dit Badichon and Nancy Purday son of Antoine Louis and his Indian wife that we call Mannon. Richard married Geneveva Deshetres and Harriet, their daughter married Francis Xavier Cabanac. Could this possibly be the so called proof we are looking for? Notify Administrator about this message?
