I have just discovered this site and wonder if it is possible that my grandfather is a descendant of the family Labadie. His name was Alphonse Elysee Marie DESCOMBES, I believe he was born circa 1879, place of birth MAURITIUS where his father owned a sugar plantation. I have only just started researching my family tree and as such have very little information particularly as grandfather died before I was born and, as yet, I do not know what my great grandfathers name was. Would be grateful for any information anyone has.
