Hello,
I have obtained a copy of Antoine Labarge's death certificate. It's only taken me about 3 years! According to the death certificate, he was born 2 Jan 1845 in Howick, PQ. He died 31 March 1936 in Tupper Lake, New York. His mother is not listed, however, his father was Louis Labarge. I have collected quite a bit of Labarge info on this line.
This is the Antoine Labarge married to one women with many first names(Ellen, Onrille, Aurelie, Laura, Norelie, Henrelie) and a few last names depending on the document (Forkey, Fortier, Blouin dit Fortier, Fortin). Their children included:
Antoine Jr. 23 Apr 1871 - 11 Apr 1951
Dolphus 23 Sep 1872 (twin)
John 23 Sep 1872 (twin)
William 17 Dec 1874 - Apr 1968
Emma 10 May 1877 - 13 may 1959 (Mrs. Napoleon Grenier)
Frank 10 or 13 Aug 1879 - 3 Oct 1934
Charles 10 Feb 1883 - 1963
Frederick July 1884
Minnie (Mrs. E.B. Woods of Ontario/Ottawa)
Possibly one more child (obit mentions "10 children")
Antoine Labarge was widowed and then married to Delia. It appears they were married about 1893.
Does anybody have any possibilities on this Louis Labarge?
