Dear Valerie,

Thank you for your informative reply - I apologize for not responding sooner. If Louis George II is your g-g-grandfather, then we are directly related by the same number of generations! I have also read Henry's account of the Simcoe County Labattes and noticed the same discrepencies. While my family has retained the "Labatt" name, the 'e' at the end was dropped by my grandfather Lawrence unofficially.
