I don't know if it officially qualifies as a "dit", but there is a Labay family that started out as Dessalier. Hubert Dessalier, AKA: Pierre or Peter Labay. His children were baptised as Dessalier, but the whole family went by Labay by the time they moved from Canada to the US.
