Mon cher et aimable cousin Claudie aux Etats-Unis, Never ever would I suspect that you were going soft. I assume you meant intellectualy as I have not had the singular pleasure of meeting you and, therefore, could not be expected to make a physical judgment. I should note, however, that as I mellow due to olde age, I find nothing wrong about being soft. You should know that after considerable deliberation, I have conclusively concluded that you are one sharp cookie as you say in the United States, or as we say when in Ste Jean Chrysostome, Qc., "vous êtes un biscuit de sharpe". I agree with you that the second "a" in LaBarge spelling was an error and in fact the name is truly LaBerge or De La Berge. It is probable that the "a" after the "b" crept into records due to an error by the cleric of the time.....recognizing that light was by candlelight, spectacles were not the best and that he had just enjoyed a draught of Calvados to keep him warm. In that case, I cannot fault those who may or may not have participated in the a/e hoax. Mes meilleures salutations, Ron Notify Administrator about this message?
